BLURB LOVE #12

Book blurb is the most important aspect when it comes to deciding what I want to read. It is usually what makes me add (or not add) book to my TBR. Imagine there is no cover, no title and you have no idea who wrote it. Would you read such a book based just on its blurb?
Test yourself.

BLURB #1:

They came to earth—Pestilence, War, Famine, Death—four horsemen riding their screaming steeds, racing to the corners of the world. Four horsemen with the power to destroy all of humanity. They came to earth, and they came to end us all.

When Pestilence comes for Sara Burn’s town, one thing is certain: everyone she knows and loves is marked for death. Unless, of course, the angelic-looking horseman is stopped, which is exactly what Sara has in mind when she shoots the unholy beast off his steed.
Too bad no one told her Pestilence can’t be killed.

Now the horseman, very much alive and very pissed off, has taken her prisoner, and he’s eager to make her suffer. Only, the longer she’s with him, the more uncertain she is about his true feelings towards her … and hers towards him.

And now, well, Sara might still be able to save the world, but in order to do so, she'll have to sacrifice her heart in the process.

BLURB #2:

In a future so real and near it might be now, something happens when women go to sleep; they become shrouded in a cocoon-like gauze. If they are awakened, if the gauze wrapping their bodies is disturbed or violated, the women become feral and spectacularly violent; and while they sleep they go to another place. The men of our world are abandoned, left to their increasingly primal devices. One woman, however, the mysterious Evie, is immune to the blessing or curse of the sleeping disease. Is Evie a medical anomaly to be studied, or is she a demon who must be slain?

BLURB #3:

Dane was her first kiss and the only man she ever loved . . . until their marriage crashed and burned. Now Audra has built a quiet life for herself running a flower shop she's put her whole heart into. But Audra is left reeling when an unexpected circumstance brings Dane back into her world. He's still as breathtaking as he ever was, and he still affects her more than any man she's ever known. Yet learning to trust him again could be a matter of life and death . . .

When Dane offers to fly his ex-wife from California to Colorado to help correct a wrong, he never imagined the harrowing twist of fate awaiting them. When their plane goes down in the snowy mountain wilderness, Dane and Audra are stranded with no one to turn to but each other. Will their second crash end their lives—or save their souls?

Blurb #2 totally intrigues me!! Will be adding to my TBR - I haven't read a Stephen King book in a while. Love this feature!

It sounds awesome, doesn't it? And Stephen King co-wrote it with his son so that is another thing that makes me want to read it. I am on waiting list in library so hopefully I get to reading it soon myself.
I have Sleeping Beauties on my wishlist. I'm just waiting for the paperback edition here in my place because the hardcover is HUGE and expensive!

Yes, hardcover of this book is expensive. That's why I am on a waitlist for this book in a library ;)
haha what a coincidence! I added Pestilence yesterday to GR! The cover is a masterpiece and I have always being a sucker for apocalyptic tales especially religious, The 4 horsemen are one of my fav characters. My WIP is about them :)

Oh, I didn't know you were also writing! Have you published something, yet?
I'm such a cover snob. LoL It's like looking at a photo of a recipe before I read the ingredients. This is so hard! Blurb 1 Sounds really interesting though. It kind of reminds me of Gena Showalter's Lords of the Underworld series.
Aaaaand the cover is pretty awesome! I'm totally on board with this Blurb Love game. You just helped me find a new author and series! Thanks!

I have heard about Gena Showalter's Lords of the Underworld series so many times, is it any good? And thanks for stopping by :)
Oh my God, I am OBSESSED with the Sleeping Beauties description. I can't believe I didn't know Stephen King wrote this?! THE PLOT SOUNDS AWESOME.

He co-wrote it with his son, so I am very curious, hopefully it will be as good as his other books because that blurb sounds amazing :)
Oh snap, I totally clicked the GR link before even looking at the cover for the first one. It sounds amazing! I can't believe I hadn't heard about it. And the cover just made it even better!

It sounds amazing, doesn't it? I purchased a copy the other day and plan to read it this weekend. I have never heard of this author before so hopefully I won't be disappointed!
This is SO fun! So I decided that I would add Book 2, and as it turns out, I really think I *would* read book 2! I really love this idea, so unique!!
