BLURB LOVE #2

Book blurb is the most important aspect when it comes to deciding what I want to read. It is usually what makes me add (or not add) book to my TBR. Imagine there is no cover, no title and you have no idea who wrote it. Would you read such a book based just on its blurb? Test yourself.

BLURB #1:

When Kate Thompson’s father is killed by the notorious Red Rose Gang for a mysterious journal that reveals the secret location of a gold mine, the eighteen-year-old disguises herself as a boy and takes to the gritty plains looking for answers and justice. What she finds are devious strangers, dust storms, and a pair of brothers who refuse to quit riding in her shadow. But as Kate gets closer to the secrets about her family, she gets closer to the truth about herself and must decide if there's room for love in a heart so full of hate. In the spirit of True Grit, the cutthroat days of the Wild West come to life for a new generation.

BLURB #2:

How many times do you gamble on love? When love has knocked you down, should you give it another chance? When does optimism become stupidity?

And what happens when the man you’re in love with is never still, always moving, always traveling? Do you say goodbye, or do you leave behind everything that you’ve worked for, everything that you’ve ever known? Can a traveling carnival be my home?

Oh. You thought I had the answers. No, sorry. No answers, just a lot of questions—and a heart that wants to rule my head.

Can one person be my home?

BLURB #3:

Ketterdam: a bustling hub of international trade where anything can be had for the right price—and no one knows that better than criminal prodigy Kaz Brekker. Kaz is offered a chance at a deadly heist that could make him rich beyond his wildest dreams. But he can't pull it off alone...

A convict with a thirst for revenge.

A sharpshooter who can't walk away from a wager.

A runaway with a privileged past.

A spy known as the Wraith.

A Heartrender using her magic to survive the slums.

A thief with a gift for unlikely escapes.

Six dangerous outcasts. One impossible heist. Kaz's crew is the only thing that might stand between the world and destruction—if they don't kill each other first.

Great post! Just based on the blurb, no to #1, yes to #2 (actually reading it right now hehe), and yes to #3 :D

I already know what #3 is and I am SO EXCITED. It's actually scary how loud I screamed when I heard she was writing another book in a world that I'd grown to love so much. And no to 1 and 2. Unfortunately, they don't sound like books for me. I would read them if i was rec'd but not on my own.

This is seriously a great idea! I have wanted to read #3 for a while but had funnily enough never read the blurb (I know, it's the important part xD) But I decided from all three that is the one I wanted to read the most, so it definitely is a match made in heaven!

Okay I am TOTALLY biased because I ADORED book #2. I knew what is was right away so I cannot give this post a fair chance. With that being said, book #3 has an amazing blurb so I was very interested in it--I went on goodreads and noticed it was YA Fantasy, and I don't read much of that. I like sexytime, ang that's something that #2 has lots of ;)
If you can't tell i'm trying to sell it to you, LOL! It's got it all, childhood friends-to-lovers, and second chance romance all rolled into one completely unique package! It's the real deal Lucia!!!

I knew I've read #1 and #3 several times, but it's so hard to remember without the cover. Still, even before looking at them, I knew I would totally read them!

#3 got my interest peaked. I am not a fan of westerns or contemporary romance, which it sounds like #1 and #2 are.
Once I clicked the coves, I am glad to see that my cover connection is on point. Based on the covers I would only pick #3. Great post!

Wow, I really loved the blurb for the second book but after seeing the cover it's not something that would have originally caught my attention. Totally loved the sound of the third one! Great post as usual Lucia :)

The first one didn't really grab me until "In the spirit of True Grit, the cutthroat days of the Wild West come to life for a new generation." but now I am totally in. The other two sound interesting but not for me, it's funny because even without knowing the cover or target age group I still go for YA books xD
