MOST EXPECTED 2017 RELEASES + CHALLENGES

Happy New Year everyone! Let's toast to having an awesome reading year in 2017 and let me tell you about the books that I seriously can't wait to get my hands on this year!

NEW RELEASES:

Infini / Empress of a Thousand Skies / The Valiant / Now I Rise

Bad Romance / Windwitch / Iron Gold / Norse Mythology

Wonder Woman / Damaged Like Us / Warcross / The Serpent's Mirror

I plan to snatch up these 12 books as soon as they hit shelves/kindles. They are what I dream about and I have already pre-ordered some of them. Book-wise, 2017 looks like promising year!

2017 BACKLIST TBR LIST:

1st Category: Doctor Sleep / Revival / The Stand

2nd Category: Immaculate / The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian / The Forbidden Wish

3rd Category: Chronicle of the Unhewn Throne / The Book of the New Sun / The Broken Empire

4th Category: Slaughterhouse Five / Brave New World / Sense and Sensibility

Last year I did 2016 Backlist TBR List Challenge. Even though I managed to read only 6 out of 12 books, it was fun so I decided to do the same challenge this year as well. My 2017 backlist titles are divided into 4 categories: Stephen King. YA standalones, Fantasy series, Classics. Wish me luck!

READING CHALLENGE:

Beside classical Goodreads Challenge (where I challenged myself to read 52 books in 2017), I decided to join one more challenge - The Totally Doable 2017 RBLB Reading Challenge by Megan from Reading Books Like a Boss blog. It sounds like plenty of fun so I could not resist :)

I'm super excited for Iron Gold!! and you just reminded me of Marie Lu's new novel.. how did I even forget that? Doing a backlist tbr seems like an interesting idea. I'd love to try it! Good luck with your reading challenge!

Happy 2017 to you too, Cai :) Iron Gold is the one book that I am most excited about. I plan to re-read whole Red Rising trilogy before Iron Gold comes out.

Same here!! I'm going to reread the entire trilogy before Iron Gold. This is possibly the series that I actually reread the previous books before going through the next one :D

Hi Lucia! I'm also excited for Wonder Woman by Leigh Bardugo! I just posted a new video today of all the 2017 books I'm excited for (and there's a lot). Oy! I also plan on getting some backlist books done (After You'd Gone, The Art of Crash Landing, finishing the Bloodlines series).

I have love/hate relationship with classics. I either absolutely cannot get into them or I truly like them. So I plan to read more of them and hopefully I will discover some germs :)

I am excited for Bad Romance and interested in Empress of a Thousand Skies. Immaculate was just added to my wishlist. I have no idea how I missed that. I am doing the Totally Doable reading challenge too :)

I am hoping to get some backlist books read as well. I am also trying for some new releases. I can't wait for a lot of the books on your list. Now I Rise and Iron Gold are both close to the top of my 2017 wishlist. Great choices for backlist books. I am sure you will love all those Stephen King reads.
